Today's Devotion- Unto us a Son is given

Isa 9:6-7For to us a child is born,to us a son is given,and the government will be on his shoulders.And he will be calledWonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peacethere will be no end.He will reign on David's throneand over his kingdom,establishing and upholding itwith justice and righteousnessfrom that time on and forever.The zeal of the Lord Almightywill accomplish this. NIV

One of the most common act on this Christmas season is giving.

This morning our three children asked my beloved wife if the gift for their classmate is already prepared for tommorows Christmas party in their schools. One of them give an amount that is seemingly expensive than others, and he said "because the recepient is special to me and I want to be a real Santa".

As I heard this I started to recollect and remember the idea of being a sana. According to tradition "Santa Claus" was rich man with a name of "Nicholas" who happen to sold all he has and started giving it to the poor people which are many in his time. After this his benevolent act reached the other side of the town and started sending him their donations so that he can distribute it to others. He was then, venerated to santly status and his act became part of the Christmas seasons, where parents started to tell their children that Santa will come and give them gifts as they do good deeds. So today, it became a model for giving, especially in this Christmas season.

But what can be the greatest gift that we have received that make this Season a reason to celebrate? Giving kind and even expensive gifts are so noble and even a good spirit to do not only this season but all year round. Any how, if Christmas is only to give gift like this, we might loosed the true meaning of Chrstmas; which is centered to the one (The Son) given to us!He is the reason for this Season! Jesus Christ the begotten of God. If we have recieved Him, then Christmas is a reality to us. But how about the many, whose only reason for the season is finding "Santa" and being a "Santa".

Let us give the greatest gift to someone special to us. Let's give them "The Son" who should govern our lives to make it a true merry to live by.May we being a christian, together with our gift in reference to santa should become a messenger of the Son who was given to everyone and to blessed those who will believed in Him.

Let's just set aside the argument of the existence of santa, but rather let us use this time to give the one whois given; The Son of God in whom we shall be saved!As we observed around many are just trying to make this season to in the Spirit of Christmas, which is giving and loving, all in which Jesus Christ came!!!

We dont need to have a lot of money to be able to give; Give what's in your heart, your joy , your peace, your forgiveness, your service or a prayer! Why not, prayer moves mountain, it brought us this miracle, as people of old, prayed for the coming of the Savior and He did come!

Lets start to give the true Chrismas gift which is all centered in Christ Jesus!

Today's Devotion-A Chosen vessel

Luke 1:38 "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her. NIV



One of the unusual event in the advent of the Messiah is the way he was born. We all know that He was born to a virgin whose name was "Mary". With out her willingness to be a vessel for the fulfilment of the coming of the Savior, we might still be grasping in the dark and still lookin for him.

But was the vessel just randomly chosen, or not? A question that can be answered by the word of God itself. If we will read the whole context of the verse in this devotion note, wewill found that the greeting of Angel Gabriel includes the "you are highly favored"! Therefore, blessed Mary was chosen after a series of selection and even of timing! Though it does not implied that she is sinless but rather "Favored". A word that is defined as unmerited and just at the disposition of the one giving it.

This celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ is in our midts today because there are vessels who were willing to be used by God even to the price of discomfort, rejection,misconceptions and even death.

God is still looking for vessel whom He can choose for His owm plan and purposes. In many generation, in our history we can see that many vessels has already did their part. May in this season, we will be found by Him ready to fulfill His plan. Mary sai "May it be unto me as you have said" In other translation is goes this way "Be it unto me according to your word"!!!

No complain, no need for explanation, just a simple obedience that resulted in the salvation of many!

Most of the time, there will be many unexplainable things that happens in our lie, some are painful, some are good, life giving and others taking lives. But are good to remember, others are not be be remebered or even told to others. But no matter where we are coming from, in this life we have a calling to fulfill! And only Him who has the disposition to choose will choose His vessel!

That's why the challege is not in doing many things, or even achieving more than others, but knowing and doing what is required of us by our Maker! When that time comes and it will come, may we be found ready to respond "Be it unto me according to your word'!

He choose His vessel
He cleanses His vessel
He test and try His vessel
He equip His vessel
He trust His vessel
He accompany His vessel
He protects His vessel
He comforts is vessel
He reward His vessel

Are you ready to be found in Him with favor?

May we always thank God for sending His Son to make us His children! May we be a vessel of His Son to make others His children too!

Today's Devotion- We have found the Messiah

John 1:41-42he first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.NIV

Before migrating here in Canada for more than 8 years now, December is a very lively and Christ centered month. Especially to us who came from a nation whpse only hope is God! As we adjust to the new home and country, we found that December is not the same as to where we came from, there we greet each other "Merry Christmas" in here we will be greeted "Happy Holiday" or "Seasons Greetings".

Its because our society here does not want to offend those who dont believed the Messiah. Well, not in the Scripture, for there, we found the record why this month is something to really celebrate. Its not because there are more sales in the malls, neither because we have lots of invitations for almost all special events, But simply because this is the celebration of the most awaited "Messiah". He has been prophesied thousand of years before His birth. Many still does not know He already came, come are still waiting for another one, which for them is better than Him. But who can meet up with His credentials? He is born of a virgin, fulfilled all prophesies in the book of the prophets and of course, rose from the dead!WE havew foun the Messiah!!! a proclaimed word of those who believed Him! Like the early apostles, our message to the world should be "We have found te Messiah!!! For many are still lost in hope, tortured by shame, inbondage of sin and livin in hopelessness!

This Christmas season, may the true celebration come to the heart of many if not to all! "The messiah has come" He is the center of this season!Christmas spirit is not in the month, its in the "Man" He came to bring salvation to all man kind, but like a gift we must accept Him, by believing in Him!But how can they know HIm, if we who knows Him are not as bold as those who were before us in Him. They were willing to give up their life for Him who gave His life us!May we also go to our friends, relatives and area of influence and tell them "We have found the Messiah" and bring them to Him!

Its our moral duty to bring people to Him, for that's what right minded people should do, after receiving so much blessing, like peace, health and freedom. Let's celebrate this season by proclaiming that "The Messiah has come". He is the Christ, the Savior, and whoso ever believes in Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life!!!Let's give to them what we have found!!! Christ Jesus "The Messiah"!

Today's Devotion- The Secret of Being Content


Phil 4:12know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.NIV

In this verse, many will find themselves in struggle, for many are in unstopable pursuit for more. As if God is not providing what they need! The problem is not on the need but in want. The focus is not in what is necessary but on what is popular! That's why many can't find a time to rest, to appreciate or even to enjoy what they have been blessed with.

Though others seems to be content to hide that little demon friend they have which is "laziness" and "fear".

But what's the "Being Content" means?

As it is stated its the being not the having. You maybe having nothing and yet still content in it, someone might have everything and yet not even close to be content!

That's why Christ is teaching us to trust in Him and see Him as our completion. Where He made a promise that He will never leave not forsake us. Saint Paul learned also that "He can do all things through Christ Jesus! So learning to be content is within the person who has in Him the true satisfaction, by placing His trust in the hand of his God! Where are you in this? Are you like those who wants to be first in everything and then start to loose what they have gained , for it does not satisfy them anymore? Are you with those who just sit and say what I have is enough for i'm afraid to go out and try? Or are you with the few who looked what they have, see what they could have and looked upon Him who is the provider of every good gift and trust Him, believed Him for the best ! Who will never be tired of doing good! Who even in the midst of nothingness can still be our fullness, in sorrow can be our joy, in loneliness, our companion, in sin our righteousness, in shame, our comfort and in anything, our everything!!! Jesus Christ is the Name!!!

There is a popular song that christian churches loves to sing, and it speaks of the truth to the matter. the chorus goes this way

"So I lift my eyes to you Lord
In your strength will I breakthrough Lord
Touch me now, Let you love fall down on me
I know your love dispels all my fears

Through the storm, I will hold on Lord
And by faith, I will walk on Lord
Then I'll see, beyond my calvary
One day, and I will be Complete in You
"

Wow, no matter what we have or dont have, its not what will make us satisfied and complete! Its always in us, if Christ dwells in us. We just need to learn to be content in Him in our being!
The being is who you are, not what you have, its inside of you not outside of you. Its not the worth of your possessions, but the worth of you!!! Not what you know but who knows you!!! Are you known in Christ as His disciple?

Today's Devotion- A story to tell of a faithful God

Deut 7:9-10
Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. 10

Born with a purpose!
This day like everyone someone is celebrating his birth. A man I knew was born today! He was born to a poor family, poor not because they are lazy but because they were abandoned! He was born in the family of 5. The only boy who grew up without the touch of his father! His mother was a hardworking woman in spite of being totally deaf as a result of physical abuse from her husband.
The boy grew up, living with different kin who showed kindness until they were united with his two sisters and mother when he was 12 years old. The boy and his sisters faced and overcame all odds, doing everything they could to live. He grow up though in hate of his own father. And by it he was involved in different kind of criminal activities together with his peers. He took up college degree just to find a valid opportunity to kill his own father. But, at age 20, this boy who is now a man, found the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, through a ministry whose passion is to see people saved and transformed, and everything begun to change in him! He immediately become involved in the ministry, as a maintenance person, fixing and cleaning their worship places and carry things that his pastor would require. This man learned to love God and people, hatred to his father was replaced by compassion and longing. He was called by God to be a pastor, an incredible thing for him to become, because he knows he does not know the how of it! But He who called him is faithful! God brought to many experiences that cause him to see God’s faithfulness and goodness. He was assigned in many pioneering assignment in different island and location of his country and is now presently assign in other country! He was able to established 30 churches to this date! An exciting blessing is that he got married to a kind, God loving and very beautiful lady who joined him in serving God. They were blessed too with three handsome and dynamic sons!
Today, that man turns 44 years old! Not poor anymore, but blessed more than he deserved for God has blessed Him according to His faithfulness! He learned that in this life God has a purpose in everything, a calling to every one! And only in placing our confidence in Him, we can begin our journey in this life with in that purpose of God. Even, the most excruciating suffering is there in our life for our good, according to His will! Well, he has brought us here to live and know there is God!
You have your own story which is made for His glory!

Today's Devotion-The best is yet to come

Heb 11:39-40These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.NIV

Last other night as I was watching the late news, the newscaster reported the passing of one of a "true Canadian". He was talking to a business tycoon "Mr. Ted Rogers" owner and founder of a multi telephone and cable business in Canada "ROGERS". This man according to the news, accepted the mandate from her mother at six years old when his father passed away, leaving them with almost nothing, they lost every penny due to the sicknes that their father suffered. At that time, it seem so impossible to become what he is today. His battle cry that he popularized was the title in this devotion today; "The best is yet to come". As I keenly listen to the news,I cannot avoid to be impressed with Mr. Ted Rogers fighting spirit and abilities. he came from a place of impossiblities and now become not only a pillar for business but a valid example of breaking through all odds and even become a blessing to many. The point is this;

1. No matter what seeming difficulty you have, God has a greater promised as stated in the verse above.

2. If by nature we can become someone from nothing how much more if we have placed our destiny in the hand of God. Jer 29:11. He said "I know the thought I thinks towards you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you good future!!!

3. Let's learn from those who have passed through this life already who have left us a lesson to hope, to believed and even to follow. Heb 12:1herefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,NIV

We might have lost a job, a loved one a licensing test but as we look ahead, its not yet end of the road. No, and even if its a road end , its still possible to get a bulldozer and make a way where there seems to be none, by believing God's promises.

Let's face it, its not what we suffer that will dectate our future, but its whom and what we believed! Study His word and you will see, so many that have gone through worst things in life and yet able to make the best of it. If not, just look in the history or even just around the corner and you will see, signs of hope, of triumph, perseverance and victory. Much more, to those who makes Jesus as their Lord. He will not just end our life just like that!!! He has come to give life and we'll have it more abundatly he said (john 10:10b)

So as we look ourlives today, consider it a gift, and look ahead, count and expect that "the best is yet to come". No matter what, Dont give up! Keep it up! Jesus is your back up!!!

Today's Devotion- Devoted to what is good

Titus 3:88 This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone. NIV

The scarcity of a man whose heart is devoted to what is good can be equalled with the animal species which are endangered today. This is due to the fact that many who seem to be apprehending what do the Lord require is now settling to what is good to them. In this verse we can see that the Holy Spirit is teaching us the vision that God what man to apprehend and to hold tightly "devoted to what is good". In old testament it was recorded in Mic 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.And what does the Lord require of you?To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. NIV . May we who are in the service of the Lord really show that we are devoted to this, not because we are holding to our own interest but of the Lords'. If we would only consider all things as of the Lord,the fightings, back bitings and division would have been diminished if not erradicated. We might be living in a better world than what we have today. Sometimes, we are no different from the people of the world who does only good to those who does them good. Jesus said that unless we do exceed the goodness of the pharisee, we will not enter His kingdom. (Matt 5:20). Friends, what motivates you to do what you are doing? If its not what the Lord require, then you are heading to useless endeavor. Some, do good to keep their control, position and benefits. But may the Lord found true servant in you, that though you might lost everything that you have and have worked for, you still keep doing what is good!

Devotion to God can greatly expressed by being devoted to what is good, good in His standard and rating.

May you found yourself doing these, as He said, this is excellent and profitable to everyone! ..And this is what the Lord require of us!

Let us begin to populate our church, our community and our society with those who are devoted in doing what is good! Let us multiply the likeness of Jesus in this generation. Let us replenish the earth with the kind of people God wants! Starting with us!

This does not mean that we will feed all the hungry people that we know or give everything we have to the person we meet across the street, but its the giving of our right, our privilege to be rewarded, opportunity to have more, in order to advance the Kingdom of God and for our King, who is our Lord Jesus to be honored by many through us! Lets look for that opportunity to do good for Him even at the cost of our everything!

Today's Devotion- "I see the Lord"

Isa 6:1-2 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. NIV

How many times in our lives that,we have lost the sight of God. He had been clouded by many good thing in this world. But, until the lost of this good that we begin to see Him better. Sometimes it really need to loss what is good to see the "One who is Good". That's why we must beware of allowing ourselves to be consumed by many things that surround us, for time will come that they will be taken from us and we will only be left from where we start; having nothing but Him. This is the reason why the bible is encouraging us to always focus our eyes on Jesus (Heb 12:2). For only Him is our permanent possession. He is our permanent friend, comfort and our ever present King. Like Isaiah, may the death of our earthly security and comfort (represented by king uzziah) be a route back to the undying security and comfort that God gave us since the time of our birth and became more overflowing when we were "born again". This is the reason why, there is no permanent source of joy in this life, no permanent friend, no permanent companion, no permanent possession, so that when we lost something , we thought to be so valuable, we will see the Lord beyond it, for He is the only one who is everlasting. Therefore, the only one to be permanent to be seen! "I see the Lord" must be our assuring declaration, in the midst of this changing generation, in this economic regression in this over loading, burdenedful life. For when we see Him, we will see who really is the King! The Lord Almighty. The One who is Holy!

Now I understand why, in loneliness, we can rejoice, in detrayal you can have peace, in lost of everything, we possesses only what is best! "I see the Lord"!!!

Today's Devotion-Hearing God



Gen 15:1After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:
"Do not be afraid, Abram.I am your shield, your very great reward
." NIV

Many people today wants to be heard, and some wants to hear someone who would give them guidance, counsel and advice on life and other related matters. But how about you? As a christian our greatest desire should both heard and hear God, for in Him we have placed our hope in this life and in the life to come! There will be many who will be saying so much and so seemingly important points, ideas and principles, but to us the most sought for is Gods word to us. Abraham heared God for he has obeyed God by faith and keep on looking for the opportunity to hear and even see what God is intending to do in His life. If we are not looking to hear from God, what else we could hear to be valued and listen too? Sometimes we just need to take a pause and rest from our busy schedule for the intent of hearing God, He might speak to us in a vision, in reading His word, in praying or in simply, meditating His goodness in us. This world becomes so noisy that we could hardly hear Him, who has the Word of Life for us! Get yourself into a place where the only reason of being there, is to hear God. HE will for sure has a word for you! We all know that "Man doe not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God" (Mat 4:4). God bless and remember, the greatest vision is "God"!

He is just waiting in a place, in a situation where you will know He cares!!! He is our greatest reward!!!

Today's Devotion-A clear vision - pursuit of Christ



Prov 29:18
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: KJV
Phil 3:8
8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,KJV

Every person who lived has a dream a vision and a goal in life. Some lived not knowing where they are going. The man who does not have any clear vision in life will have the tendency to live a life with out the sense of fulfillment. They will just face the day and spend it the way it leads them, and at the end of the day as they look back it seems the only thing that happened was a day that passed. God gave us the ability to dream, to plan and to achieved it with all the God given abilities. We will be accountable to how we lived this life. We will either waste it, or fulfill His vision for us. Jer 29:11; is a guide for us to know the vision, the plan the pursuit we should look forward! We might have strived and gained, but what an everlasting joy and gain Christ can bring to them whose vision is him! The vision to be found by Christ in the fulness of Him! It might not be as popular as others pursuit, but theres not like it in this world and life to a sincere christian! Nothing is more valued in his life than Christ his Lord!

We might become rich, well known, wise and sought too! But all these things matters not, if Christ is not the pursuit of it and the ultimte and totality of it!

Friends let us have a clear vision of knowing, living and exalting Christ! A pursuit that will be the greatest of all!

Today's Devotion- A time to fast


Jer 36:9. . .a time of fasting before the Lord was proclaimed for all the people. . .NIV

Dan 9:3So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. NIV

The bible has recorded many fasting moments that can give us idea to proclaim a time of fasting. Again, every zealous christian fast on a regular basis as part of their expression of faithful obedience to the lord. I remember the days when , I was seeking God and asking Him; how can I finished well in this faith walk and scape the snares of the devil who has done havoc in the church specially in the lives of those who serve Him. His answer to me was "Set a day of Fasting". So since the year 1997 when I learn to fast I keep it part of my life and ministry. I personally do a day a week fas,t or 3 days monthly fast and an annual fast with leaders who wants to join. Allowing others to join me started in Laoag Ilocos Norte, when they take notice of the day of fasting. Up to this days our pastors and leaders their are doing it even without us. Till this day, in this place and time we fast for His glory and for our good!!! When do we need to fast then; Here are some of reasons;

1. If you want to submit your will to God. submit to fast
2. If you want to keep overcoming the temptation of the enemy.
3. If you want to hear His voice in a clearer way as to understand His word as He mean it.
4. If you want to minister with signs and wonders
5. If you want to be guided by Him in making decisions,specially on major ones.
6. If you believed you are called to served Him in the ministry, specially in full time.
7. If you just simply want to be closer to Him until He return.
8. If you really want to be dead in your self and let Christ live in you.
9. If you notice that old habit, old carnal behavior is showing up again, time to fast
10. If you want to avoid spiritual emptiness and dryness, fast

Well my friends, fasting is the greatest act to show our commitment and willingness to follow Jesus. Without fasting other things He would require will become difficult. While if we have a life with fasting and prayer, everything willbe in His hand!

Today's Devotion-Benefits of Fasting

Matt 9:15. . . The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast. NIV

As mentioned the other day, that fasting is innate to the christian practice, it's not for no reason though. Every fast-er knows that there are many benefits in fasting. To name some;

1. Physical benefits of fasting (with water)
a.) Its cleanses the lungs, providing a baby kind of breath to the fast-er.
b.) It dissolves body toxins- cleansing the skin, kidney and the whole body system. (specially in 3 days fast).-Resulting to a baby kind of skin.
c.) Loose of weight for the over weight and gain weight for under weight, (depending on how you break the fast).

2. Spiritual Benefit of Fasting;
a.) Spiritual conciousness on the higher level than the physical.
b.) Bring heart in a genuine repentance
c.) Becoming more sensitive to the presence of God.(can hear God more clearly)
d.) Fruit and gifts of the Spirit becomes more visible and manifesting than normal.
e.) Advancing spiritual maturity. (3 days is equivalent to 3 years advancement)

Well, other person, will say other and more results and benefits as they fast.
The things shared here are more on my personal experience and with reference to an old book titled "Fast and Accelerate". just forgot the writer.

Any way, we, fast not because of its benefits as the primary reason, we fast, because its part of the command of Jesus to be done by His followers!

So, benefits are just an added encouragement to do so!!!

Today's Devotion-Biblical Fast

Joel 2:12'Even now,' declares the Lord,'return to me with all your heart,with fasting and weeping and mourning.' NIV

Fasting is abstence from food to spend quality time in prayer to the Lord. Many biblical characters practiced Fasting while in prayer. The Lord Jesus did it so are His disciples. What are the different kind of biblical fast and its benefits? Basically fasting length depends on the purpose of the fasting;

1. One meal to one day Fast just a preparation
2. Three days Fast - surrender of will and dying to self
3. Daniels Fast -Eating no solid food for 21 days-Waiting upon the Lords Direction
4. Daniels Fast-Eating only vegetable-for self physical healing and health
5. Supernatural Fast-40 days no food with divine guidance and with God's supernatural presence.

Usually, fasting is a declaration of the one who fast except for the 40 days, where it suggest that there should be a divine leading to do it. (Moses, Jesus).

Other kind of fasting that early christian does are;

1. Sleep Fast
2. Marriage fast
3. Water fast

In our generation other adds,like TV fast, Phone and book fast. But whats importance in any fasting is that we were able to connect with God and received the acceptance, deliverance, transformation, revelation and other supernatural, spiritual intent of the fasting.

Again, we should do fasting according to our faith, conviction and purpose. God will honor our fasting only if its purpose is according to His will!

Today's Devotion-Pray and Fast

Prayer and fasting is a normal practice of every zealous follower of God particularly those of Jesus Christ! It's part of their routine to keep their life in line with God's spirit moving and leading. We must then include this practice in our weekly if not daily schedule, so that we can always submit our will to God's will, hear His voice and follow His command. It will also give us more sensitivity to the working of the Holy Spirit and thn be used by Him to minister to others with love and power. During the early Christian era, Christian fast on Thursday to be distinct from the Jew who fast on friday in preparation for the sabbath. Today, we can fast on the best day of the week we can, but the gain of fasting is not by skipping the meal, but by what the word of God says, some of them are;

1. To loose th chain-deliverance and healing
2.To hear from God-meditation
3.To ask forgiveness-repentance

There are different kind of biblical fast. I will share that tommorrow!

Today's Devotion- Sin Against The Holy Spirit

Matt 12:31-3231 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. NIV

Its interesting to note that the Lord Jesus gave this statement about the unforgiven offense to the Holy spirit. I think this is what exactly what it means. There are many offense that we can commit against the Holy Spirit, but blasphemy to Him is the greatest, actually the unforgivable sin.

So, let us make all effort not to commit this sin against Him. What are the sin we can commit against the Holy Spirit? Some I could list are:

1. Grieving the Holy sirit
2. Quenching the Holy spirit
3. Suppressing the Holy Spirit
4. Resisting the Holy Spirit

But how can we commit blasphemy? In the context of the statement of Jesus, it seems that blasphemy can commit when we identify the Holy Spirit as a wicked spirit. The works of God as the works of satan. Or simply by judging the operation of the Holy spirit as of the devil. How can we know then that its of the Holy Spirit? Well, first it must be honoring Jesus Christ, it must be according to the word of God, the work must be done to lead man to honor God and not the vessel He used. And lastly, it must bring the peace, repentance, healing, deliverance,joy and salvaton as well as transformation to a person. So. lets allow the Holy Spirit to work through us or even to others. And if we are in doubt, beware that we judge it before we are sure of it, for we might find ourselves fighting against God the Spirit!

Today's Devotion-Children of God by the Spirit


Rom 8:155 For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."NIV



God revealed Himself as a Father not because He needs more children, but rather it is us; humanity that needs a Father. The word of God implies that there is only one begotten Son of God; Christ Jesus, who became man so that man can become the sons of God! In this truth, let us come in humility to Him as he open His arm to all of us, not to make us slaves or to forced us to do some laws to our dismay. But as children to whom the Father is giving all that He has even the privilege to have an eternal fellowship with Him as we follow His precepts!
The Holy Spirit testifies that we are the children of God as He dwells in us. Teaching and guiding us to please our Father, who did and does everything for our good! We have an open access to our Heavenly Fathers throne because of the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. No matter what we have done and will do, His grace is always sufficient for all of us. We can always call and approached Him calling Him "Abba" which means Father in our present language. It's gives us the assurance of acceptance, provision and protection.
For our ever present God is a Father heart God! Lets always come to His loving arm and enjoy rest in His loving presence. He have accepted us by His Son and sealed that acceptance by giving us the Holy Spirit making us children of God in whom we would share all the blessings of Chrsit the begotten Son of God! Some might say you're not a child anymore because of your sin, but it's not true for no matter what you have done His Father heart will not reject you! It won't change anything, but a true child always come humbly to the Father to find refuge, forgiveness and even acceptance avery time we fall! No one can separate us from the love of God in Christ! Rom 8:35-39. That's why His Spirit dwells in us!

Today's Devotion-Born of the Spirit



John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. NIV

One of the great mystery of Christian faith is the born again experience. Misunderstood by many as a new religion, but the truth is, it is an experience, a birth of a new person to anyone who receives Christ as their Lord and Savior. (John 1:12). All men were born sinners and are all spiritually dead. No matter how we try to understand and seek God,without the born again experience we are searching infutility, but as His Holy Spirit gives birth to a new spirit in us, born of God not of the flesh but of the Spirit, we will again restore our lost communion and fellowship with Him. Its the start of seeing God's Kingdom exist, then we shall enter His Kingdom, His presence as we allow the maturity in spirit in us with the goal of the likeness of Christ.or in the day we go to Him by either death or rapture we shall be welcome to come in to His Kingdom. That's why, a born again Christian is a person who receives Christ as Lord and Savior, confessing his/her sin and living according to His word, guided by His spirit and enjoys the fellowship of the beloved!

As recipient of this grace, let us lived as really Kingdom citizen on tour to this temporary world, where we are in training to live for eternity as born of His Spirit! Let's lived according to His standard and according to His word not forgetting it's all by grace we are saved and not by our good works. Though good works are a life style of those who are born in Spirit as the fruit and gifts of the Spirit come to fruition in us!!!

Today's Devotion-Winning the Warfare

Eph 6:10
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. NIV

"Life in not a picnic but a warfare" quoted by a preacher. At first its seems exagerated until to observed it wisely. You will then, agree! That's why we should always be prepared at all times for any attack that desires to destroy our peace in Christ as a valiant soldier does. We are not fighting only for our own safety but also for those who are around us. The good thing is this; the battle is of the Lord!!! We just need to be strong in Him! Emphasis is in the Lord. Not in us. We might feel the pressure, see the battle but its all of the Lord! We are just the instrument of the warfare, the vessel of God's victory and of Christ glory! It is the Spirit at work that the enemy is trying to defeat in us. If we give in to his schemes by depending through our own ways, wisdom and strength, we loosed, but if we hold on to our faith, stand on the word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to take charge, we will enjoy His promised "NO weapon against us will prosper for the battle is the Lord" (Isa 54:17). So, don't fear to go to your warfare, the Lord by His Spirit will stand by you, for you and with you!!!

Be strong in the Lord always by meditating His word. Calling upon His name. Standing by His promises and looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith!
Ps 27:1
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear?The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid? NIV

Today"s Devotion-Comfort in the midst of suffering


John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.KJV




In this life no matter what we try we will still come across the road of sorrow, pain, frustration and other uncomfortable situation in life. Either we do it to others or others will bring it to us or through us. In any way we will find ourselves dealing with it as it is part of this earthly life that we have. Though declaring the Lord Jesus as our Lord and Savior does not exempt us from any of this, but He has make a very definite difference to those who believed in Him; By sending the Comforter to us who will abide with us all the days of our lives. Making all suffering and pain an experience to glorify God. For no sorrow can displaced the joy and the peace that this Comforter brings! Lets just abide in Him for only in Him we are sure to face each day with the comforting presence of His Holy Spirit!

No servant of God is exempted in any sorrow, pain or suffering, but we can enjoy His comfort in the midst of it. As we all know, He is the peace that guards our heart, an ever present help in times of need! Thank Him not for the sufferings but for the peace and comfort in the midst of this suffering!

In winter we put on our warmer and just wait for the summer to come.
All winter ends with spring, all nights ends in daylights, all storms ends in calmness, therefore all sorrow will end in joy!!!

Today's Devotion-Temple of the Spirit

1 Cor 6:19-2019 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. NIV

A born again person in Christ should realized this truth that we are not on our own but of the Lord! The proof to this is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit as the seal of His ownership. This gives us the transfer of ownership from us to the Lord!

This Spirit presence confirms that Jesus is our Lord. Therefore, we dont have no more right to this body anymore but owned by the Lord, that's why we should always seek Him first (Matt 6:33), obey Him in everything all the time and trust Him all the way!

The Spirit is always speaking to us through many ways , but lets not forget that every message He gives must be founded by His word! If we make Him Lord and Savior, we should allow Him His dwelling place, which is our very life and body! Let's honor Him and follow His leading which is the mark of His ownership. He holds the key now in our life, let Him use it the way He wants it and bring it as He is pleased!

I am a temple of the Spirit, no one else is! In Him we lived and moved and have our being!

Today's Devotion-Spiritually Empty


Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.KJV

Sometimes we fail to do what is pleasing to the Lord not because we can't but because we won't. Th reason is our flesh becomes on the throne of our life again rather than the Spirit. In Matt 26:40 Jesus said to His disciples the "The spirit is will but the flesh is weak". We should therefore, avoid to be spiritually drained which is caused by our failure to come daily to the source of our life. We cannot avoid spiritual destruction if we are spiritually drain. May I suggest to you fellow christian to keep your fire burning, your tank filled with new wine, your passion rule your heart and His Lordship always at the throne of your heart. Satan is waiting to see you drain by many things where you are exhausting your strength, then he will come to bring all temptation hard to resist, not because they were strong, but simply because you are weak. Therefore, always spend time daily and tarry (wait) for the Lord to fill you up, specially when you know you need it! Many who keep their faith even in times of storms and testings are those who are ready to meet them at the level of their spirit and not in the flesh. What's the sign and what I do when i know i'm spiritually drain?

1. I watch how I respond to my wife and children. When I see its of the flesh then i must vow and ask forgiveness then asked, that He fill me up with His Spirit.

2. When joy is just a word and not alive in me. I call the Holy Spirit and say "Fill me up" oh Lord.

3. When sin seems so strong,I run to Him and say "Fill me up oh Lord or I will fall".

4. When His word is covered by worries of this world, I pray "Lord just fill me up, your servant is waiting"!

Today's Devotion-His Presence

Ex 33:14-20
14 The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
15 Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"
." NIV

The most significant thing in the life of those who believed in Christ is what they have recieved in Him, that this world could never give. It cannot be bought, acquire or even found in any other place but only in Christ!

The presence of God by His Spirit was only made possible by the grasce of God by the redeeming work of Christ on the cross and His ressurrection from death. Today every one who have place their faith in Him knows the difference in their life which is His presence!

That's why Moses imphasized that That His presence must go with them any where for His presence makes the difference from other nation.

May we always cherished His presence to us, which is the seal of His grace to us. His presence makes the difference because;

1. He only give His presence to those who believed- Eph 1:13
2. He gives His peace by His Spirit-John 14:27
3. He works wonders bi His Spirit, that makes the life of a believer full of wonders. Zech 4:6
4. We are bonded together in the fellowship of the beloved by His Spirit. Rom 8: 14-16
5. We will know Christ more by His Spirit.-1 Cor 2:12-14
6. He will convict us of sin and lead us to righteousness which will be the fountain for a blessed living.-John 16:
7. He will be with us until the coming of our Lord and Savior, making us lived in the presence of God until that last day.

We are never alone and never forsaken in Christ because of His Spirit. Therefore the call to holiness and peace is a life lived by every one who believes in Him for His Spirit bring this and more of Him in us!!!

More of Him in you!!!

Just for my Friends-A stay in Montreal

Last November 7, 2008, I drove to Montreal from Ottawa, after a time of leasure witn my friend Tino to whom I loved to play pool. It was a day where I spent alone with God along the way. About 2 hours travel where a poured out my heart to the Lord, thanking Him for the blessings, asking Him wisdom for the testings and challenges and asking Him grace for my short comings.

I reached Montreal just in time to pick up my wife and Eli in the Airport. Wow. what a favor to be with my wife and youngest son. (Iwished I have them all). But due to many reason just my youngest son. We had a ministered to JIL Quebec people thtat night. Then, Saturday afternoon to evening we had our Leaders Summit. Come Sunday, we both preached in our two church location in Montreal and NDG. After the service we had our Strategic Planning for 2009. It was unfinished though due to time restraint. Any way it was so meaningful as our Team in Quebec, see where they are right now and some how, sense where we are going and visited the point we started it all this year.

Every moment there with JIL people was a celebration, their show of caress, love and thoughtfulness just fired up our lives and inspire us to keep on serving. I have seen the goodness of God through them. Applaud their maturity and improvement, encourage by their faith and impressed by their submission.

Well than JIL Quebec! Expect God to do marvelous things in you, through you and with you!

Today's Devotion-Anointed by the Spirit

Luke 4:18-19
18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,because he has anointed meto preach good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisonersand recovery of sight for the blind,to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor
."NIV

The Lord Jesus Christ proclaim the Kingdom of God and minister during His earthly ministry under the anointing and power f the Holy Spirit. Because Jesus was in His human form, he cannot do any miracle without the empowerment from God the Holy Spirit. And He, declared that the same Spirit will be received by everyone who believes in Him as we tarry and wait for His coming in our lives. (Acts 1:8).

Why the Holy Spirit anointed Jesus and every beleiver?

1. To preach the gospel- Its God plan that every person be given a valid opportunity to know the salvation Jesus provided on the cross. Unless the Holy Spirit is at work with the one who shares the gospel it will not make any conviction to the hearers. That's why we need to ask for the Holy Spirit presence all the time!

2.To heal the broken hearted-One of the given thing in this life is this truth that all man is wounded in their soul!It's the result of our relationship with our fellow man, most started at our childhood and goes on as long as we live. It affects our lives and personality, its the root of all our impatience and bitterness. It cause us even to lost our own identity and self recognition. But Thank God that He does not want us to be on that situation always. He sent the Holy Spirit so that to His word being ministered to us, it can go deep into our being and unveil those hidden pains and bring them to the feet of Jesus. The Holy Spirit will give us strength to forgive and let go of all those wounds and pain in our hearts. Which will be replace by Gods peace and a new heart full of God's goodness in us. By this we will be able to start a new day to every person we meet and will be living with as a new person in Christ!

3. To proclaim deliverance tp the captives-There are people who were just in bondage of something. For those who wants to be free,the Holy Spirit is here to make it a reality in you! No matter how enslavement you have Jesus can set you free by the power of His Spirit at work in His church today! So why remain in bondage if there is a way out of it! The Holy Spirit is here Come and received your freedom!!!

4. To give sight to the blind-Literally and spiritually implied, that many who lost their sight can find light in Christ! Many who are decieved for lack of the true knowledge of God can only be enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Only by Him we can, know who Christ really is. And only by Him we can walk the right path. For only in Him Christ is revealed! Through Him then, light will shine upon us!

5. To set at liberty them that are oppressed-Oppression is common today inspite of innovation and technological advancement in our society. Because many has failed and will keep on failing.Its the spirit that is the twin of being so self centered and ambitious, that leads us to frustration if our dream does not materialized. Many hide in the dark,some just give up and lived in frustration.While if only we will allow the Holy Spirit to take over our lives through Christ we, can find new hope and strength to start a again with His help and wisdom we will see that God is so good that He will not deprived us of the very best thing he can provide in this life. Though He won't give way to what we want, but He will make sure we will have better that what we are apprehending for! The Holy Spirit is here to redirect our path and give us joy forever more!

6. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord-The Holy Spirit moves in our lives so that we can bring the right message at the right time to the right recipient. He makes all things beautiful in His time he said!! This work of the Holy Spirit is never missed a single person in every generation since the day of pentecost!

My fellow believers let us not missed the anointing of the Holy Spirit which is freely and abundantly given to us because of Christ our Lord! The curch must always be flowing in this anointing so that Jesus will be exalted and people will be saved,healed, delivered and empowered by the word of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit!!!

Anoint us oh Lord! Anoint us today!!!

Today's Devotion-The Holy Spirit and the Bible

1 Cor 2:10-14
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. NIV

Many who come across the bible and will reach it diligently will find themselves in a situation of impossibilities, for no matter what level of Inlteegent Quotient they have (IQ) they woun't be able to come even to close to what it means. For the Word of God is not reachable by mans mind unless the Spirit of God dwells in them or rather guide them to it's understanding.

That's why every one who seek God must seek Him with all their hearts by humbly asking the Holy Spirit to give them enlightenment. As we can see today, there are many who seems to be wise and tries to convince people of their understanding in which they have lead many astray. For the understanding of the word of God is only possible by His Spirit. That's why it can be understood even by the most uneducated, the young and the simple man, whom the Holy Spirit is teaching and leading to His word.

Every day then, as we read and meditate His word take a pose and ask the guidance of the Holy Spirit to understand His word. Then and only then the word of God will become alive and transforming in our lives. The Holy Spirit is generous to those who will humbly ask for His guidance.

As the word become clear to us, we will be able to apply its purpose and bring full fruits of its rewards!

Keep on meditating for this is His commanad.(Jos 1:8-9), but don't neglect to desire His leading to guide you to the words true and meaningful wisdom for our good!

Today"s Devotion-Fruit of the Spirit



Gal 5:22-24
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. NIV

Everytime we see a tree we always want to know what kind it is by trying to find its fruit. In the same way people will know who our Lord is by trying to find the fruit they could see in us. The fruit in this verse obviously is talking about characters and attitudes we manifest. If its one of those listed in it, it is of the spirit. Though there could be some counterfeit or fake but it will not take long until you will recognized it. For the the fruit of the Spirit is not a one day show but a lifetime walk of a christian. That's why St. Paul said in 1 Cor 11:1 "Follow me as I follow Christ". As Jesus follower, people will be looking at us to see if Jesus is bearing His fruit in us, which is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

I remember one time that one of my sons, told me that "Dad I notice that you are showing more kindness to other people than to us your children?" In this I was caught speechless, for the fruit that they see is not of Christ but my own nature. That's why I immediately asked for forgiveness and begin to allow the Holy Spirit bring His fruit in me so that people and my chidren will see the same fruit that will bring life to them.

No matter how we try on our own, we will always fall short of good character of our own. But when we allow the Fruit of The Spirit , it will last till the end and will have enough supply for every one to enjoy and for God to be Glorified!!!

Todays Devotion-Come Holy Spirit

John 14:26-27 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. NIV

The coming of the Holy Spirit did not end in the day of Pentecost, it actually started from there so that the church will be able to live in the likeness of Christ who is the manifestation of the God head!

Every beleiver must desire the presence of Him in their lives wherever they go. For He will be teaching us the things of God and the best for man. He will fill us with peace even in the midst of trouble! He will give us wisdom and strength in the midst of testings and trial. He will saved us deceptions and will lead us back to Christ everytime we got lost and fall down. He will convict us of sin and of our righteousness in Christ all the time!

My friends, dont take your day with out inviting the Holy Spirit in your life, family and even activities of the day. A simple invitation "Come Holy Spirit" will change everything in you!!!

Just for my friends-Travel with Musikatha Team











Since the day God granted our prayers, we never ceased in vowing our hearts and knees to our Lord to make the coming in Ontario of Musikatha Team to be a blessing both to us and to them.
Well, I believed its done! We were all blessed by everything they did here, the seminars, worship and even just a simple chats and fellowship. Sis Edith who leads them influenced our churhes in the anointing of worship breakthroughs! The team members shared with us techniques, laughers and fun.


I definitely appreciate the generous giving of our congregation in all the gatherings. Where they have waited until it would start. Wow! JIL A3 and A6 makes me soooooo proud to be their pastor!

To the leaders who give their best and avail their time and resources, showed the kind of respect and excitement we have for this team who came to bless us.

Though their time is probably the shortest in their itenirary but its has everything needed to make it one of the greatest event happened in our area.

At this writing, I'm with them here in Ottawa to give our people here an opportunity to be blessed by them and for them to bless them too!

Its always inspiring to be with your brethren who shows passion fo God and love for fellowman shown in their Christlike characters and simplicity that's makes you comfortable to be with them!

Tommorrow early morning they will be flying to Manitoba and blessed our people their too.
I beleived that our churches will have a significant change as a result of this Worship Breakthroughs they brought to us. I will be flowing to this level now. A worship warrior spirit that exalts Jesus and expels satan in my life, in the ministry and in my surroundings!

Todays Devotion-Speaking in Tongues

1 Cor 14:1-5Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries with his spirit. 3 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified. NIV

One of the manifestation of the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a person is speaking in unknown tongue.The day of Pentecost was the day of the release of the Holy Spirit to the church with all its gifts and power. It was then that the church begin to understand the Three person of the Godhead..What shall it benefit the one who speaks in tongues? Before anything else let it be known that speaking in tongues is not the choosing of man but of God. It cannot be recieved by anyone unless God gives the utterance, for it is God's gift to the church!

1. He who speaks in tongues, speaks with God. Therefore, no man understand Him.
2. He who speaks in tongues, edify himself. Therefore he becomes a foreiner to others unless someone interprets.
3. He who speaks in tongues signifies, He 's of the Lord. For only the believer can recieved the gift of tongues.
4. He who speak in tongues, impowers himself with the power of God. Therfore, he fears no one but God!!!

Saint Paul said that he desires everyone to speak in tongues, but its better to speak known tongues when you wnat to convey a message to some one. But to God, speak as He gives you utterance!!!

Todays Devotion-Me and the Spirit

John 16:13-15But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you. NIV

Well, the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the precious Holy Spirit begins to work in us. With out Him no one can be converted and be transformed. He is the third person in the Godhead. Yet like the Son of God He has a heart to serve and do things for the good of others. He is the very character of Christ (Gal 5:22-24) as well as His power to do what He did. (Lk 4:18-18).

If Jesus was so dependent on the Holy Spirit every believers of Christ must be the same..But how can we enjoy His Spirit in our lives?

Some of the things we learn in the Scripture regarding this matters are;

1. Every believer must keep a constant walk with the Spirit. (Gal 5:25)
2. We must pray in the Holy Spirit. (Jude 20)
3. We should be filled by the Spirit. (Acts 1:8)
4.We should listen and be guided by the Holy spirit. (1Thes 5:19)

There are so many exciting things we can both experience and learn about the precious Holy Spirit. We should not deny ourselves of having a life with Him in us always!

For in Him we lived and moved and have our being!!!

Today's Devotion-Be Thankful in everything

1 Thess 5:18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.KJV

Life as it is, is full of so many laughters and tears, joy and sorrow,abundance and want,supply and needs ,add to it the successess and failures. Those we admire and those we condemned. Its so simple and yet complicated, that the finite mind of man could not comprehend. Some rest in asking, while others make their own answers.

In my midlife experiences and learning I found out the following realities;

1. Life is so short that we should not waste it in useless things.
2.Life here on earth is a practice for a life in heaven.
3.Life is borrowed and will be returned to the lender on His timing.
4.Attitude is more valuable than achievements.
5.Our being is more significant than our doings.
6.Its not a question of how long we lived but what we lived for.
7.I'm just a man, there is God!

In all of these, I come to just be thankful for what I have and treasure every moment that the life lender gives. For one day everything will be gone,and better things will begin, there in eternity.
How should we face every day then? Well choose to be always be thankful for there is always a reason to be!!!

Today's Devotion-All Things for our good



Rom 8:28-30And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. NIV

One of the undeniable fact in this life is that there are circumstances,events and situation hat are not conforming to our expectation and sometimes even beyond our understanding to comprehend why bad things happen.. But in the sight of those whose heart is filled with confidence to his Savior, we can still look up and expect something good is goingto happen inspite and dispite of anything. Why? Well, because of the following;

1. God is good- and in His goodness He cant let any bad things end bad. He can always turn it into blessing.

2. God knows best-He is not limited to our circumstances and present situation, but always look at the complete picture. That's why we can always trust Him. A certain philosopher said "We should not be afraid to entrust our unknown future to a known God".

3. God will provide the best-Sometimes the road towards what's best is always ,unpleasant to take, but like a wise and confident sailor, who crosses seas and overcomes tidal waves for he knows that in the midst of the sea are the great catch.

4. God is in control- Our life and futre never depends on what we have and will possesses or have someday. Its not based on where we live or what we reach as far as education is concern. Not even the power of hell can change what God intend to do. And in this we can be assure that as He wills so it will be. .

Every child of God can faced every challege of life as we look at it in the perspective of God and of His word. Lets seek what good is He bringing us through these unpleasent, heart breaking and even hurting moments in this life!!!

We thank you Lord, for you will bring good out of anything that this life will bring us into . . .

Today's Devotion- Servant Killer



Luke 20:9-12 He went on to tell the people this parable: "A man planted a vineyard, rented it to some farmers and went away for a long time. 10 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 11 He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed. 12 He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out. NIV

Many who serves God faithfully dares not to fear any outside force that may threaten their lives. .For they know that the true threat is not from outside from within them-Luke 12:4-5"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. NIV

Who or which then is the true servant killers?

1. Personal Ambition and step toward rebellion-like Absalom who took all effort to take the throne from the ligitimate and God ordained person. Any servant of God who imposes personal ambition will wake up in the midst of rebellion. To avoid it, lets always focus on Christ and His purpose for calling us and counting us faithful, giving us a ministry.
2.Personal Comfort-This will lead us to blindness is seeing who is our Master. Instead of obeying it will bring us to a dislocation and miss more opportunities to served Him. Every servant of God must master the words of a soldier when sommoned by his superior; "YES SIR" is always there response! May we be like this as God's servant no matter where we are now and where He is bidding us to go! "YES LORD"!
3.Envy and jealousy-as deadly as a snake poison that will slowly kill the right passion of His servant. That's why everyone must also recognized the faithfulness of Him who called Him, who does nothing in favoritism and who does no mistake in everything and anyone.
4.Burnout and selfpity-another venom that must tnot be taken by a servant of God who wants to remain fruiful and faithful to his calling and to his master. We should learn that we can't do it alone, so we need to welcome others to join us, if must we need to train them and give them what we have to save our own soul. We should recognized that every person brought to His church is equally called as we are and God brought them to our care until they can be sent also!

We could name others that are so dangerous to our loyalty and faithful service to God. To one the other might be the greatest threat while not to others. In any way, every servant must know to which one he/she is prone to fall.

May His grace keep us from anything that will kill the heart of a servant in us!!

Today's Devotion-Greatness through service

Matt 20:24-28When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. 25 Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." NIV

Jesus did not only set the example of service to God but also the result of being a servant. . .

1. Greatness- will be the description of those who serves Him in humility.

2. Being first-I believed this implies first in being a servant. First in giving, in working, first in going and first in His presence.

3. Inward view of the servant is the view of his master- only to please Him in everything. Ready to go at the Master's bidding. Willing to stop at the sign of His hand.

May we served Him the way He wants us and may we see greatness in being a servant of Christ!

Today's Devotion-Serving God is His Grace!

2 Cor 6:1-2 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. NIV

Those who are called to served God knows that it was never on their qualification that they are being used by God to His service. John 15:16 says that "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you!. . .

In this context, we who serves God must always preserved and treasure this priveledge which is the product of God's grace by;

1. Serving God faithfully-1 Peter 4:10-11 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. NIV

2. Serving God joyfully-Its should always be in the attitude of joy rthat we should be doing whatever we are doing in His Kingdom and through His people.Though there will be miscomfort, testings and trials, sometimes even failures.-2 Cor 6:10 sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. NIV

3. Serving God consistently- not a double minded mind but in the singleness of heart, with no other concern but only Christ as long as we lived!-Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.NIV

4. Serving God Sacrificially- as the verse aboved said it well! Death is a necessity in serving Christ. Not that He should force us to it, but that we are willingly coming to it. So that if ever we will do something good, it will not be accounted to us, but to Him!-Col 3:17And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. NIV

Have so much to say regarding this matter, but let it be unto here. For serving Christ needs to be seen not just in words we say or letter we write but by what we will be doing today for Him and in Him.

May we be His DOULOS which means God's bond servant, who does not expect any reward for whatever we did for Him. But just simply serving Him till He wants and needs of him!!!

Just for my Friends-Spending Time with God's nice people in St. Catharines

Last Friday, Oct 23, we thronged the traffic to be in St. Catahrines before 6:00pm to have our dinner first at Ptra. Tess apartment before we could start a leadership meeting. We did it by God's grace.

The sumptous dinner was served with the candid smiles of JIL leaders, which add to the appetite to consume as much. hehehe.

Then, at 7:35pm all the leaders arrived and meeting started which for me come to the following conclusion;
1. JIL St. Catharines is in the point of revival and breakthroughs.
2. The leaders are now in a next level of maturity.
3. I'm so proud to be with this people of God working with me and in the JIL MVV.
4. We have found more people whose passion is to do God's will God's way.
5. There will be phenominal growth coming to this church in the Niagara region!

Todays Devotion- Right Thinking


Phil 4:8-9
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me — put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. NIV

Every human being was created with the ability to think and the ability to think right. But our problem lies on the choices we are making and allowing to be in our mind. Sometimes we forget that what we think influences our words, actions and way of living. That's why the bible give an open and direct advice to what to think!!!

1. Whatever is true- Truth that will set us free though it might hurt our feelings and or deprive us of getting something. -John 8:3232 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." NIV

2.Whatever is noble- Something that wcan be proud of knowingJer 9:23-24
"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, 24 but let him who boasts boast about this:that he understands and knows Me,that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,justice and righteousness on earth,for in these I delight," declares the Lord. NIV-

3.Whatever thing is right- Right in the context not of man but of God-Anything that God says is is and will be. When we learn to admit that He has the final say, then and only then that we can practice what is right before Him, though it might not be popular to many.-Mic 6:88 He has showed you, O man, what is good.And what does the Lord require of you?To act justly and to love mercyand to walk humbly with your God. NIV

4.Whatever thing is pure- This for me speaks of things free of malice. Particularly as we relate with our fellowmen. To keep a healthy talk is to keep a healthy mind that is free from any impurities. Which is possible by keeping His word in our heart and mind.-Ps 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heartthat I might not sin against you. NIV

5.Whatever thing is lovely- Oh how we missed to see the goodness of the Lord in missing to see the beauty of that He created each day for us. As we begin to appreciate what a lovely gifts He has provided. For the Lord is good he gives us only things that are lovely. Starting from you!!!

6.Whatever things are admirable-Thanksgiving starts in a heart full of admiration. Blessing is abounding to those who say "Thank you Lord" for what a wonderful day you have made!. Dont miss the day without admiring the very person God gave you to see God's love and goodness through the eye of someone you meet today!

7.Whatever is excellent and praise worthy-Hallelujah!! God gave us the ability to think and choose the right thing to think!!!

Let your heart and mind be filled with this good things!!!!

You are counted of worthy to be one of this thing- Right mind, thinks right!!!

Today's Devotion -Seeking those who will worship Him


John 4:23-24
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
NIV

Every followers of Jesus should realized that we dont have the monopoly of servign and worshipping Him. God want u to seek those who should be joining us to exalt and worship His Majesty!

3 Things we can do . . .

1. Share His goodness to influence others to honor Him as He should be. . Lord Almighty-1 Jn 5:10-12

2. Go to different place to meet new people to know He is Lord- Matt 28:18-20

3. Pray that others who can be a better witness go and share what the Lord has done. .

Honestly, I'm comfortable in doing all of the above not because I'm better, but simply because it's needed.

As we faced this economic recession, there is no better hope than in Christ!!!

Lets fill heaven with the worship of the multitude which can only come as we go and share to them how good our Lord and is and so deserving of our praose and worship!!!

Just for my friends-A worthwhile visit to The Philippines-Part 1

For Filipinos like me, The Philippines is our Jerusalem, a plce most of us are praying and longing to see being blessed no matter where we have been.

Last September 27, 2008 Me and my wife were part of the delegates of JIL worldwide church blessed to attend the JIL 30th Anniversary (Silver Celebration) of God's goodness and fruitful service to Him.

The celeberation was held on Oct 5, 2008 at luneta park where millions of JIL members gathered to celebrate. The program was obviously well planned and well blessed as well.

The next day was or Bishop Eddie's Birthday celebration, where the highlight was the giving of plaque of recognition. While in it I was so excited to see those who are being called and given a due recognition for there part in the expansion of this ministry. After a while I was also called to recieved a "Good and Faithful Servant award". for those who have been 20 years in full time ministry. I was of course surprised because I'm only 18 years and 11 months to the date of recognition. Though I stood and took the plaque I immediately told my wife, they made a mistake. Though I enjoyed the feeling of being recognized already. Confessing my sin of elation I reported my concern to the proper authority and surrendered the plaque. Though they told me its mine, there's no mistake about it. I still surrender it to avoid any future problem.

So, its just part of a temporary rejoicing (hehehe).
Anyway, it adds to the memories to remember this 2008.

After that we visited JIL Ilocos Norte, where the Lord has send me and became fruitful from 1991 to 2001, which is also instrumental for being assigned here in Canada to help the existing Pastors and Leaders make a difference and established additional churches as the Lord blesses.

We went there to visit and see the Canada sponsonsored Airconditioning of JIL Laoag City church. With us was our RP Rev. Aldrin C. Navo, his wife Ptra. Monnete and othe Ontario Pastors; Allan and Coney Pua, Tony and Mary Larracas, Roy, Zeny and Nichol Montecillo with Ate Chi of JIL ottawa.

JIL Ilocos Norte lead by 2 Are Pastors meet us in the Airport Ptra. Abie Ancheta Corpuz and Ptra. Maribel R. Santiago with other key leaders like of Ate Lucy, Bro. Faivo and Sis. Babeth, Bro. Cris, Bro. Edwin and others. It was a glorious day for all of us. Especialy to me and my wife who were so blessed to see how God keeps His promises to us to bless this Province even in our absence.

Today's Devotion-Through it all


Phil 4:12-13
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

One of the challeges of our days is the unavoidable changes that we faced.
A change of wheather, change of job, change of fashion. /the list could be endless.

Some might retire, give up or just dont mind. . .But the best is always to make it through with out struggle. . .

3 Suggestion to make it through

1. Adjust - like a thermostat we should learn to adjust our selves to the situation. Example; as wheather changes, we change our clothing.

2. Adopt - like a new migrant to a new place new culture. Example, 3. Abraham in his journey to Canaan land, learning thier lauguage and culture while living for His purpose and God.

3. Admit- like a guilty person found of an offense, accepting that we can't do it on our own but need someone to make us through. In Chirst who is our ever present help, who is always available as we call as will find help in times of need.

The greatest challege then is not the changes, but how can we change through it. Making every opportunity a chance to honor Christ. Well my friends we are in it and we can make it by His grace!!!

Just for my Friends-Going back home

Hi my dear friends and blog visitors,

Today (Oct 20, 2008)we will be travelling to Toronto Canada via Cathay Pacific from Hongkong. We stayed here this week end to meet and fellowship with JIL people. The original plan is just to meet my wife's friend and members from Ilocos Norte. But as we ask permission to our Head Office Leaders, we were given a previledge to share Gods word to JIL Wan Chai Saturday service and JIL North Point Sunday Services. It was a glorious day to see multitude of people expressing their love for God and appreciation of the word of God shared by me and my wife Ptr. Rose. Add to the excitement is the presence of our ministering Team member from Toronto; Ptr. Allan Pua and his wife Sis. Coney. They both help us in ministering to jil people here. First timers approached us as well as the old timers and the joy of knowing they were blessed satisfies our hearts longing to be a blessing to them.

The fellowship and kindness of JIL HK Pastors touched us with so much loved. We were met in the Airport by Ptr. Bart who waited for us for 3 hrs and we met their RP Ptra. Laiza who took us to a lunch fellowship last saturday with other HK Pastors and Staff. Of course we are excited to meet our old friend Ptra. Rosalie and her son Daniel. Glory to God.

Last night we went to KFC and met the JIL Ilocos Norte faithfuls, who shared with us laughter and even tears. We prayed together, eat together and envision together for a more fruitful service to God in this ministry. It was really a wonderful visit here in Hongkong. My wife recollect the times where she was here in 1994-1995 in response to the need of the hour, during our trying momments as we pioneer JIL Ilocos Norte. We shared to people how God used this City to change both of us for something good!

Any way, nice to be bound home to see our children whom we miss so much and of course the JIL Ontario and Quebec whose passion to serve God energizers everyone she encounters.

See you soon and we will have a good time together in serving God as we act on the new challeges stored and prepared ahead of us! Lets share the joy of counting the cost of serving Christ and offer ourselves as bread for the glory of God!!!

ALL PEOPLE WORSHIP HIS MAJESTY




JIL Worldwide have celebrated God’s faithfulness and greatness on its 30th of God's Kingdom Ministry last October 5, 2008.It was an overwhelming joy seeing brethren gathered together in one accord, one spirit to give glory to whom glory is due, to give honor to whom honor is due.



“All people worship His Majesty”, our theme and our hearts desires is indeed to give God the highest honor and praise. . It is an invitation to call to worship, to have our pledge of allegiance to our Majestic King; it is our intimate expression of love being his creation to bless our Awesome Creator.

Worship is bowing down and humbling our selves and exalt our King, our God Almighty. We worship because Christ is worthy of honor and praise.
