Today's Devotion-Tested Faith

1 Peter 1:3-9
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade — kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith — of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire — may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.NIV Faith

A Story; Tested by TrialsFaith Tested by Trials
Have you ever seen a blacksmith work with a piece of iron? He holds it in the fire to soften it and make it pliable. That is exactly why God permits the testing of your faith by temptations and trials. He wants you to acquire patience, to acquire pliability. If you and I are constantly out of the fire of affliction, we become stiff and useless. God wants to reshape us according to His image, for in the fall of Adam we lost our divine shape, our divine image.

Testing and Faith seemingly are related to each other, one gives the reason for others existence. God, in His wisdom made it that way. A person who has many trials will eventually find that He has great Faith that will make him through it all. Though sometimes we did'nt realize such power is at work with us. Any person who are in Christ are definitely destined to be tested, not to fail but to pass and promoted for greater testing. He who is faithful in little things, will be faithful in greater things. That's why Faith is tested not with little things, for he who has faith has the power to overcome everything in Christ!

4 Things we should consider when we are in Trails.

1. Its our faith that's under testing and by faith we will overcome -Mk 9:27

2. All trials are common to man, therefore its not new, it might to you but not in this world. In view of this solution is already available, it just need wisdom and patience to make it known.-! Cor 10:13

3. All trials are God given, though most of the time satan uses it to deprived us to honor God. If this the case let's trust God and keep honoring Him. Victory starts when we pursue in honoring God no matter what.

4. God's purpose for sending us to trials is clear- to make us lack nothing, and for us to be complete-James 1:3-5

Therefore, lets not complain rather face every day looking ahead, beyond the cloud of trial is our victory for we have faith in Christ that when tested will be as gold, so precious that can be offered for His glory!

Thank you Lord for trusting us with such trials, for by it our faith will bring you praise!
